Now, there is a good reason why I drew this lovable canine (other than the fact that this is one of my childhood favorites). This week, word got out that Norman Bridwell, the creator and author of Clifford the Big Red Dog, passed away at the age of 86. :(

Clifford and his adventures with Emily Elizabeth will forever be in the hearts of many generations of children young and old. Whether they've read the books or saw both television cartoons (there's even a live-action film coming in 2016).

A live-action film? I suppose they could do it with all the CGI they've got now, but it won't be the same as the TV series I loved as a little girl.
