Normally I do my convention reviews as soon as I get home but my job is taking up a lot of my time recently. Forgive me for posting this so late! My friends and I arrived at the Gaylord National Convention Center on Thursday around 2:30 p.m. Our room was on the 8th floor facing in towards the atrium and after I unpacked, I change into my Thursday costume Hipster Lady Rainicorn and went to rediscover the convention center. Katsucon was my third anime convention, the second being Otakon XX, and the first being Zenkaikon VII. Admittedly, after Otakon (you can read my review of it here: https://christinecosplay.deviantart.com/journal/Con-Review-Otakon-20-2013-392727326) I was a bit scared of what kind of experience I was going to have. I always try to go into new experiences with an open mind but when you get burned, it's hard to ignore.     My first Otakon experience was definitely one to remember. Sadly, not for good reasons. The weekend started out gloomy on Thursday when my favorite band, The Slants, got rained out during the Matsuri Music Festival.
