Nothing would change, no matter what will happen. If either of them would move away, or grow apart, that they both would always end up finding their time with one another here in the welcoming arms of their special hiking area. It's that area there where their friendship strengthened, never faltering even when Snow had managed to find herself in a relationship with another. Christian wasn't jealous, of course. He felt very happy for her, and even encouraged her to bring her beloved partner with them as a start of a new kindling friendship that became such a meaningful part between him and Snow. Oh, what a wonderful day he had now that he could finally sit and relax near the campfire they both had built! It's not every day that he was able to go out and hike this far up into the depths of the forest! He, as well as his best friend Snow, had managed to pick such a convenient day to camp over the weekend too. With clear night skies, chirping crickets symphonizing the night, and a crispy pair of marshmallows stacked by the flickering embers, the two were fully prepared for their personal weekend excursion through nature's playground. With a comfortable shift, his body weight leaning back on the tree bark in anticipation for their marshmallows to finish roasting, Cristian sighed deeply and gazed up at the sky. Mini Prompt ~ Words on the Wind

A vast and wide world that hosts two different stripes of lost within nature’s hands. Roaming for a meaning, two colors suddenly stride side-by-side. A small blue thing sheltered of leaves compared to a large vast of white against crumbled ruin. Cold snow melts before starting life anew under golden sun rays when a memory welcomes them. What was it like? When vast white met blue? Most say, there is no such thing as coincidence in the domain of whispering trees. That there was only a thread of fate, once snapped, would yet again be lost to nowhere. How a flake of snow melts under the heat of one’s breath. Memories that had ceased before, but awoken to newly formed ones before thy light. Warmth, although lost in wandering. Just like vast white, one who strays beyond onward. A season’s birth upon a slumbering wood is only the beginning, after all, alike a newfound spark in two colors greeting. There’s more to know, blue insists. The Awakening Forest ~ Ch.5: What is This?

The quietness inside was peaceful yet mournful the more Crest sat in stillness. His gaze finally opening to turn his head towards one side of the tomb-like structure. He sensed it, a cracked opening just big enough for him to squeeze on through. Naturally curious and always willing to poke and prod into new territory, Crest prepared himself to slip right on in through the crack and investigate what- or who, was in this sealed structure. Within the tomb, feet scuttering against tucked away objects, Crest noticed that the structure was filled with what seemed to be old objects of sorts and all kinds of variety. Some of these objects seemed more like antiques to Crest. Old and rusted, some paint chipped off here and there. He was careful with these, of course. Minding their placements yet gently placing his claws here and there to inspect what all had been tucked away. Were these offerings made to the dead that were buried just outside? Or were they keepsakes that were meant to be

The Awakening Forest ~ Ch.4: What Caught their Eye

Coupled with the fog overhanging like a sheet within the dead silent graveyard, Crest couldn’t help but travel through the weeded grass cautiously. He didn’t wish to linger for too long within this site out of respect and to escape this loathsome feeling in the pit of his stomach. Yet, he didn’t wish to yet turn around down the same stone wall pathway he followed to arrive here. Thoughts were suddenly put on hold when Crest noticed a looming shape hidden between two very giant trees. Their leaves sprout upward, almost covering either side in a veil that would make it hard for a typical person (or organism) to notice it during a normal sweep of the eye. It, much like the tombs here, seemed old and ruined due to decay and weathering. One could not help but wonder, as Crest made his way up to the side of the empty structure, why was a building like this here all by itself? He could link two and two together, of course. The Awakening Forest ~ Ch.3: Where the Trail Ends

It seems like time was passing slowly in this forest, or maybe he wasn’t making too much progress. Or maybe his size made the journey seem that long, a high possibility. The only indication he could even count on while walking was the twinkling light of the sun overhead, which had been shrouded with leaves and vegetation. It’s exceptionally hard to see, but Crest can tell that the light had moved downwards for almost twenty degrees. Or maybe more? Within these strange woods it was hard to tell what exactly was at what position. With exception to the wall of course. Each crevice and crack of the wall was inspected by Crest while he walked onward to nowhere. Wondering if some of these cracks could ever tell their story of how they came to be. Why was the wall here? Why was Crest here? It did give him an idea for when he would find his way back home. He was not human, but a neat little wall pattern like the one he was walking beside would be nice to recreate in his little hideaway.

Either it was due to his size or simply being in a new unfamiliar forest, but Crest could feel himself grow tense at the thought of getting lost. Each step against the thinned bramble and ferns he wove through was another step forward, but where was he actually going? He could barely see a thing, he was small! Perhaps he should have climbed one of the towering trees- but that would take too long. He urged himself to keep up with the undergrowth until he finally made a small clearing just beside the icy briars and leaves. In fact, when he laid down to catch a breath, his feeble blue eyes ceased to notice it at first when he focused on himself for a moment. Opting to preen his fur with his claws to part away some stray sticks and sticky leaves that stuck to him from the dewdrops. When he turned his head, it’s when he noticed it so plainly that it took him a moment to register what in the world it was sticking up from the ground. Hello!!! I'm an aspiring artist that has been drawing for at least 10+ years now! I go by Chameleon, but you may also call me Cham for simplicity sake! I love drawing creatures and monsters of all sizes and I love to think about, write about, and draw my ocs at my leisure!
