By the time Enking left the tailor with a large package plainly wrapped in brown paper and twine, the sun had already set below where the land simply ceased and a violet-grey expanse stretched across the horizon. The crowds had dramatically thinned since the height of the afternoon, though a ragtag group of youths had gathered around the entrance to one of the still-open shops. A teenager, one with golden-white fur and anima of bright blue, was using the glow spilling from the entrance as a spotlight. His words managed to catch Enking’s attention, given that they were spoken in the Ahzan’s native tongue.

Let’s be honest: Enking was not a good person.
