[Gold] The Path of Burning Sand
Darkness covered the sand covered lands, turning the once bright golds of the desert into an abyss of black. The wind danced across the surface, picking up fine pieces and carrying them on to a new location. Very few dared to traverse this harsh climate during the day, and so many fewer at night when the temperature dropped further down from the heat of the sun... save for one soul. The blaze of the fire stuck out from the rest of the darkness, guiding the way for the male that held the torch within his mouth. Paws carried him over the soft sand, pressing on into the heart of the desolate kingdom.
Gold of Sati's headpiece tinged against the
Hallow.
Empty.
Emotionless.
All words that labeled what he was meant to be. He was not human, nor was he meant to be. All he would need to be whole again was a host, a body to call his home once again. He had found what he wanted in a child.
Fianna…
Her name rang constantly in his wire-spun ears. She consumed his every waking thought. All he could think about was seeing her, teaching her, raising her… just as he had planned. This child, the pure daughter of his favorite experiments, would be his. She would grow under his wing, to his expectations, and once she was of age, would become his perfect vessel. Nothing more… not
